We’re very proud to have our local NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs, as a part of our community. We won the Super Bowl back in 1970 and 50 years later, we won again in 2020. Our MVP Patrick Mahomes was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017. He is the first quarterback to throw over 5,000 yards in one season, in both college and the NFL. He is also one of four African-American quarterbacks to earn the AP MVP (Associated Press Most Valuable Player) award! In his first season, he threw 5,097 yards, 50 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. In the 2019-2020 season, Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to victory in Super Bowl LIV against the San Francisco 49ers.
Now we are runnin' it back in 2021! We anticipate another victory as we face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV this Sunday!
